Body Contouring Surgery

Dr Sally Ng offers a comprehensive range of body contouring procedures to help patients achieve their desired results.

When considering any type of body contouring surgery, no matter the circumstance, it is imperative you complete all the research necessary to ensure you are fully informed on the surgical options available, and maintain reasonable and realistic expectations.

If you are unsure about a surgery of interest or if the results you desire may be achievable, we advise you to book your consultation with Dr Sally Ng to discuss your options.

Which body surgery is for me?

Patients will undergo one or more body procedures for various reasons and depending on what type of results they wish to achieve. The two main reasons for body contouring surgery are typically post-pregnancy or after massive weight loss.

In patients after massive weight loss, the skin deflates which often results in excess skin in the arms, breast, abdomen, thighs and back. Before considering body contouring surgery, it is recommended that the patient achieve the lowest possible stable weight for at least three months for optimal results.

If you are looking to exclusively address your abdomen through body contouring surgery, you may want to explore the abdominoplasty procedure which aims to remove loose skin from the abdomen or to tighten the abdominal muscles post-pregnancy (if separated due to pregnancy); or explore liposuction which aims to target stubborn fat deposits that will not respond to dieting or exercise.

Other patients may also explore body contouring to other regions of the body such as sagging upper arms or thighs.

It’s also not uncommon to see patients that wish to address more than one area of the body. It is possible to combine body contouring procedures in different areas in the same operation. Dr Sally will advise if this is suitable.

If you have any concerns or problem areas you would like to address, do not hesitate to mention these to Dr Sally during your consultation. Having an open conversation will ensure you receive the most personalised surgical plan achievable.
